I think most of you ladies will already have these pieces in your wardrobe, but if not, you can easily substitute them with something else. These are my go-to fall office outfits when I don’t have time to put something together. I know I can reach for these pieces and it just works every time!

Start with a black pencil skirt and white button down….
If your looking for a pair of tights that will last you… These thigh high black tights from Commando stay up all day and are fantastic!
Then I added a boyfriend fit blazer to add some visual interest. Adding a 3rd piece (jacket/vest/blazer/sweater) to an outfit instantly make you look more stylish.
Another easy style option is to add a sweater vest! This is another fun fall trend for 2020… I love anything menswear inspired.
For this final look, I opted for a sweater blazer, and I love this French Girl Style vibe.

Other Ways I’d Style This Simple Outfit:
Swap the white buttons down for… a fitted turtle neck, a loose knit sweater, a tee shirt camisole, or change out the white top for a different color or print.
Swap the pencil skirt for… trousers, a dress, a midi/mini skirt, or jeans!
Tips & Tricks:
*Changing out the third piece can change the look dramatically and add interest to an outfit. The 3rd piece can be a cardigan, coat, belt, hat and/or sunglasses.
*Opt for a cardigan/jacket/blazer that’s cropped or one that hits past your hips. When using a top layer, try to make it cut you off at your most flattering point, not your widest. This will create an illusion of being taller, less frumpy, and thinner. I personally am a cross between a rectangle and a hour glass body type, so doing this really makes my outfits look better.
*Tuck your shirt in to accentuate your smallest area. If a shirt hits you at the hips, and that’s your widest part, it will make you look bigger than you are.
*Please know that being petite only means you are under 5’4”. There are many different body types out there and there are different style tips for each.
